They Call Me Stacy....

So, as you may or may not know, my child does not like to sleep. She spends at least an hour every night in her bed talking, singing, yelling, or whatever else she feels like doing. It doesn't matter what time we put her in there, regular bedtime of 7:30, or later, she still spends forever enjoying her own company. Tonight was no different. We allowed her to stay up until about 8:30 (actually, it was a necessity since we didn't get home until almost 8 and she was dirty beyond recognition and desperately needed a bath!). Fast forward to about 9:15, she is in her room going to town when I hear a boisterous rendition of her most recent "favorite" song, the Ting Tings, "That's Not My Name". Check out the tune at this youtube link:

Now picture a newly three-year-old belting out this tune from her bed. It was definitely the highlight of my day!

(And, as an aside, it is now 9:50pm and she is STILL talking away!)

Ahhhh....summer.

Summer. Birds chirping, sprinklers sprinkling, popscicles dripping, MRIs scanning. Yes, that's right, MRI. As in, the doctor still has no idea what is wrong with my leg, so after a bone scan and some prescription anti-inflammatories, let's try an MRI. Could this seemingly small, nagging injury be any more mysterious? Hopefully this will provide some sort of answer because I am tired of putting my "workout" life on hold. Months and months of consistant, but not too terrible, pain is enough. If there is still no diagnosis after this week, I might just take a break from taking a break. Get back into my workouts full force and hope for the best. For now, the mystery continues......

It's Finally Here!

I made it! School is out! Work is over. I am a stat at home mom. It hasn't really hit me yet. Probably because today is Saturday, so my time at home doesn't officially start until Monday. Nonetheless, I am here. I have actually started the lists. Things that need done around the house. Places we need to go. Things we need to buy. What to do for fun. I need a list to keep on top of all of my lists. Actually beginning the lists is going to be the hard part. I want to sit and do nothing. Except maybe play with Josie. But, I guess that is why I am staying home, right? Reassure me, please, "everything will be alright, everything will be alright." Thanks! Now, off to work on my list of lists - hope it's all I have been hoping for!
