Wow.

Here I am. A stay-at-home-mom. Well, not yet, really, but in a few more weeks. And, it is only a one-year leave, but that includes two summers, so really, a little more than a year!

I am excited, terrified, scared, elated, and anxious, all rolled into one. I am a mother. I have been given this opportunity to spend a year at home with my almost-three year old, Josie. She is the light of my life. The bright spot in every bad day. Sure, it is not always roses, and sometimes (gasp) she is the reason, but whose life is? Luckily, it is my life....our life, and I am thankful for the chance at this once in a lifetime experience. I hope she (and my husband!) gets as much out of this as I expect to.
